STEP Academy
UChicago Impact’s STEP Academy supports leaders in using and applying STEP’s professional development process and data cycle to plan for the facilitation of three core STEP trainings.
During UChicago Impact’s STEP Academy, leaders will learn how to use and apply STEP’s professional development process and data cycle to plan for the facilitation of three core STEP trainings; STEP online assessment administration, data analysis and reliability. This process enables our partner schools to impact student achievement and improve teachers’ instructional practices in whole group and guided reading. Building systematic literacy systems and routines around reliability and STEP data will empower leaders and teachers to develop literacy instruction that is differentiated to student’s needs and abilities. During this two-day workshop, participants will:
- Build leadership capacity around implementation of best practices that enhance STEP administration, scoring and interpretation of data.
- Participate in collaborative activities that deepen understanding of how to use STEP data to drive daily literacy instructional practices differentiated to students’ needs.
- Be empowered to design their own facilitation trainings for data analysis, reliability, and STEP online assessment administration with the support of STEP Trainers.
- Understand how to use the various Data Management System reports to support best practices around STEP administration, data analysis, and student growth.
Who Should Come:
